Qualified teachers, supporting your child through the national curriculum
We are not a school and we do not try to be one. We take what your child is already being taught and make sure it actually lands.
Every person on this team is a qualified teacher with years in the classroom, in primary or secondary. When your child submits a piece of work, a teacher reviews it and decides what goes back to them.
Good tutoring costs more than most families can find. That gap is the reason we exist.
Enabling FuturesWhat we are, and what we are not
- We are not a school. We do not replace your child's teacher, register or timetable.
- We follow the national curriculum. The work we set is the work their school is already covering, so nothing pulls in two directions.
- We teach what is missing. A class of thirty moves at one pace. Children who need longer, or who are ready for more, rarely get either.
- We are the affordable option. Private tutoring is out of reach for a lot of families. That is the gap we set out to close.
Where we came from
Built out of Kingdom Pieces Publishing
KP Educate grew out of Kingdom Pieces Publishing, set up with one aim: to educate, and to support the work of the kingdom.
We are Christians, and that is where this work began. It shapes why we do it rather than what we teach. The lessons follow the national curriculum and nothing else, and every child is welcome here whatever their family believes.
What carried across from the publishing side was the belief that education is not a luxury item. If a child needs support, cost should not be the thing that decides whether they get it.
Nothing reaches your child unchecked
Plenty of platforms hand a child a screen and a score. We do not think a percentage teaches anybody anything, and we do not let a result go back to a child until a teacher has been through it.
Every team member is a qualified teacher
Not tutors, not graduates working through a script. Qualified teachers who have spent years in primary or secondary classrooms, working in the subjects they specialise in.
A teacher reviews and releases every result
Marks and written feedback are read by a qualified teacher, who corrects anything that is not right and decides when the work goes back. Nothing is released to a child automatically. What they get says what went well and what to do next, not a tick and a total out of ten.
We write our own worksheets
The material is ours, made for the year group it is aimed at, rather than pulled from a stock library and hoped for the best.
We start by finding out what they know
A baseline assessment comes first, so a child begins where they actually are instead of where their age says they should be.
Work tailored to your child's school, if you ask for it
Most families never need this. By default we do not contact your child's school at all. We teach the national curriculum, so the work already covers what their class is working through.
If you want it matched more closely than that, ask us. We will approach the school, request its curriculum plans for the year, and shape the work around exactly what your child is doing this term.
That only happens if you ask for it.
What we teach now
English and Maths, from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 3.
We started with the two subjects that carry everything else. A child who reads well and handles number confidently has a better run at every other subject on the timetable, so that is where the effort went first.
More subjects and skills are coming. We would rather add them properly, one at a time, than launch a long list we cannot mark to the standard we want.
We are also still building. The platform gets better most weeks, and a fair amount of that comes from parents telling us what is not working.
A character for every stage
Children meet a different character depending on where they are. They are not decoration. A five year old and a fourteen year old need this to feel like it was built for them, and a character is the quickest way to say so.
