KP Educate

Privacy Policy

How KP Educate handles information about you and your children, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

Last updated 29 October 2026

Who we are

KP Educate provides online learning for children, with courses and assessments based on the national curriculum. We are not a school.

KP Educate is a trading name of Kingdom Pieces Publishing Ltd, company number 16215104. Kingdom Pieces Publishing Ltd is the data controller for the information described in this notice.

Our registered office is 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.

Our data protection registration with the Information Commissioner’s Office is held by Care Pathway Pro Ltd under registration number ZC014555.

What this notice covers

This notice covers information we collect when you use kpeducate.org.uk, apply for an account, contact us, or use the platform as a parent or a child.

It also covers staff at schools we have contacted about KP Educate. If that is you, see If we have contacted your school.

It is written for parents and guardians. If you are a child using KP Educate, the short version is this: we keep your first name, the work you do and how you get on with it, so your grown up and your teacher can help you. We do not show your work to other children and we do not sell anything about you to anyone.

Information we collect

When you apply for an account

  • Your first name, last name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number
  • Each child’s first name and date of birth, which we use to work out their school year group
  • Whether you agreed to us holding these details, and separately whether you asked for marketing emails
  • How you heard about us, if you tell us
  • The date you applied, and a one way scrambled version of your internet address, used only to stop the form being abused

When you contact us

  • Your name, email address and any phone number you give
  • Whether you are a parent, a school or someone else, and what your message is about
  • Your message, and anything you choose to put in it
  • The page you sent it from, the date, and a scrambled version of your internet address

When you report a problem

Every signed in adult and child can report a problem from any page using the report button. When they do, we collect:

  • What they wrote, and the reason they picked from the list
  • A picture of the page they were on, if they choose to add one. This is optional. It is produced from the page itself, so it can only ever show KP Educate, never anything else open on their device
  • The page address, the size of their screen and window, their browser and device type, their language and time zone, and any technical errors the page reported
  • Which account sent it. Where a child sends a report, we also record the parent account it belongs to, so we have someone to reply to

A picture of a child’s screen may show that child’s first name and the work they were doing. Pictures are held outside our public website, are visible only to KP Educate administrators, and are deleted automatically after 90 days. The written report is kept.

When your family uses the platform

  • Account details for you and for each child, including usernames and a first name for each child
  • The key stage each child is placed at, and the courses they are enrolled on
  • The work children submit, including quiz answers and written assignments
  • Marks, written feedback, progress and any certificates earned

Children’s information

Accounts for children are created by a parent or guardian, and only after an adult has confirmed they hold parental responsibility. Children do not sign themselves up.

We ask for as little about a child as we can. We use a first name only, never a surname, on anything visible on screen. A child’s work and results are visible to that child, to the adult on their family account, and to KP Educate teaching staff. They are never visible to another child, and there are no public leaderboards or rankings.

Children do not contact us directly. Any question, request or complaint reaches us through the parent or guardian on the family account. A child cannot message us from their account, there is no free messaging between children on the platform, and there are no outbound links on child screens.

The one thing a child gives us themselves is their schoolwork. Quiz answers and written assignments are submitted through the platform and stored against their account, so the work can be marked and their progress followed.

KP Educate is a service likely to be accessed by children, so we follow the Information Commissioner’s Age Appropriate Design Code. We have completed a Data Protection Impact Assessment for the platform, and we review it when we make a significant change to how children’s information is used.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

We use a small number of suppliers who process information on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions:

  • Unlimited Web Hosting, which hosts the website and its database and delivers the emails we send you
  • Stripe, which takes and processes card payments. Your card details go straight to Stripe. We never see them and we never store them.

We will also share information where the law requires it, or where we need to in order to protect a child from harm.

Where your information is held

Our website and database are held on servers in the United Kingdom.

Your account details, your children’s records and the work they submit are held in the United Kingdom and are not transferred abroad.

Two things sit outside that. Our pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, so your device asks Google for those files and Google receives your internet address in the process. And when you pay, Stripe handles your card details on its own systems, which operate internationally. Both Google and Stripe are United States companies, and for these transfers we rely on the safeguards permitted by UK data protection law.

Neither of these involves your children’s schoolwork or their learning records, which stay in the United Kingdom.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you or your child, correct anything wrong, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or object to us using it. You can also ask for a portable copy of information you gave us.

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. That does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

A parent or guardian can exercise these rights on behalf of their child. Email us and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.

If we have contacted your school

This part is for staff at schools we have emailed or written to about KP Educate.

What we hold

Your school’s name, address, phone number and website. Your name, job title and work email address, where your school lists them publicly. A record of the emails we have sent you, and any reply you have sent us.

Where we got it

School names, addresses and head teacher names come from the Department for Education’s public Get Information About Schools service. Work email addresses and job titles come from your school’s own public website, for example its contact, staff or SEND pages. We never use personal email addresses.

Why we use it

To tell your school about KP Educate and offer a short demonstration. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests. Schools buy learning services like ours, and we think a short, relevant email to the person responsible for SEND or learning is something you would reasonably expect. We send a first email and, if you do not reply, one follow-up. That is all.

Your choices

You can tell us to stop at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails or by replying to one. When you do, we stop emailing you and your school. We keep your email address on a do-not-contact list so you are not added again by mistake.

You also have the rights listed under Your rights, including the right to object and the right to ask what we hold about you. Contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.

Who sees it

Only our own team. It is held on our servers in the United Kingdom with Unlimited Web Hosting. We do not sell it or share it with anyone else.

How long we keep it

We delete your details two years after we last contacted your school, unless your school becomes a customer. If you asked us to stop, we keep only your email address on our do-not-contact list.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in and to keep the site secure. Our cookies policy explains what we set and why.

Marketing

We only send marketing emails to parents and learners if they have asked for them. Emails to school staff are covered in the section above. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to stop them. Turning off marketing does not affect emails about your account, your children’s work or your billing, which we have to send in order to run the service.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you by email.
